1. Who we are

Trades Growth Machine ("TGM", "we", "us", "our") is a marketing and automation agency operating in Australia. ABN: 62 177 455 049. Contact: mitch@tradesgrowthmachine.com.

This Privacy Policy describes how we handle your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly to us, or that we receive in the course of providing our services. This includes:

  • Contact details — name, email, phone, business name, ABN (where applicable)
  • Communication records — emails, SMS, call logs, booking enquiries
  • Business information — your trade, service area, marketing setup, and details needed to deliver our services
  • Payment information — billing details processed through our payment providers (we don't store full card numbers ourselves)
  • Website usage — anonymous analytics data via Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless, IP-anonymised)

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Deliver and operate the services you've engaged us for
  • Communicate with you about your engagement (project updates, support, invoices)
  • Respond to enquiries and bookings made via our website
  • Comply with our legal and tax obligations (e.g. GST records under Australian tax law)
  • Improve our services and the website (using anonymous analytics)

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers we use to operate — GoHighLevel (CRM), Cloudflare (hosting + analytics), Google Workspace (email), Stripe / Xero (payments + invoicing), and similar trusted operators
  • Regulatory or legal bodies if required by Australian law
  • Professional advisors (accountants, lawyers) where reasonably necessary

We don't transfer personal information overseas except where our service providers process data on their international infrastructure (typically US-based) — and only under their own privacy and security commitments.

5. How we store + protect it

Your information is stored on the systems of the service providers listed above. Each is selected for its security posture (encryption in transit + at rest, access controls, regular security audits). We keep personal information only for as long as we need it to provide our services or to meet our legal obligations.

We use access controls, two-factor authentication, and the principle of least privilege internally. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach occurs and is reportable, we will follow the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

6. Your rights

Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
  • Request that we delete your information (where we're not required to retain it by law)
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Make a complaint to us first, and to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if unresolved

7. Cookies + tracking

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and IP-anonymised by design — it doesn't track you across sites or build a profile. See our Cookie Policy for full detail.

8. Children

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged via email to active clients.
